Mini Diarium does not collect your data, send telemetry, or share anything with third parties.

What Mini Diarium does not do

Mini Diarium has no network client. It makes no HTTP requests. It does not send analytics, telemetry, crash reports, usage statistics, or any other data to any server.

Mini Diarium does not store journal entries on cloud servers. Your entries are encrypted locally on your device and never leave it unless you explicitly export them.

Mini Diarium does not require an account, email address, or online registration.

Mini Diarium does not use third-party analytics or tracking services.

What data stays on your device

When you create a journal, a local encrypted SQLite database is created in your user data directory. All entries are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are written to the database. The plaintext of your entries never reaches disk in unencrypted form.

The database and its automatic backups remain entirely local. Mini Diarium does not sync or back up to any cloud service.

What you control

You control your journal file location, backup frequency, and export destination. When you export entries (as JSON or Markdown), that file is stored wherever you choose.

You can delete your journal file and all backups at any time. Uninstalling Mini Diarium removes the application but does not delete your journal file or backups by default.

Third-party services

The only external resources Mini Diarium's website loads are the SourceForge download badge and platform icons. These are external services with their own privacy policies. The Mini Diarium app itself connects to no external services.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at mini-diarium.com/privacy/ with an updated "Last updated" date.
